To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of MD Paper Products, MD invited 15 artists to get creative with the MD Notebook. Each special-edition MD Notebook features the artists' illustrations blind embossed on the covers. COOKIEBOY, a Tokyo-based cookie artist designed this cover.
A Note from the Artist:
"I bake a cake or cookies every day. I'm always thinking about who I can gift them to. People's birthdays only come once a year, so I want them to be special. Food is impermanent by definition, so I want to make sure people are left with great memories. That's the kind of experience I want my notebook to be."

COOKIEBOY is a Tokyo-based artist. Cookies are the canvas for this icing artist—his works are a treat for the eyes and taste buds alike, making art a part of people's daily lives. The inspiration for his career came from his friend's reaction to some artistic cookies he made as an anniversary present—his friend's face apparently lit up like a child's.
