The Tombow Mono 100 Pencil was released in 1967 to commemorate Tombow’s 55th anniversary and as a direct competitor to the Mitsubishi Hi-Uni. Because the original Mono pencil was such a huge success in Japan, Tombow began releasing many different products with the Mono name – such as the Tombow Mono Eraser.

What makes the Mono 100 so special is that the core particles were increased to 10 billion particles per cubic millimeter. This high-density structure of the graphite lead allows for smooth and dark lines. After it was released, it was considered a high-quality, luxury pencil and was sought after by kids and adults alike.

  • Black body with gold gilded accents and painted dipped end
  • Full line of hardnesses from 10H to 10B
