Four years ago, we began carrying gold nib fountain pens. The first gold nib pen we sold was a Pilot burgundy Decimo in fine, and I still remember the customer’s name. Building up a collection of gold nibs was expensive, and we couldn’t get a lot of them. Our goal at Yoseka is to bring wonderful stationery in one place, and we want to represent a full range of writing tools— from gel, ballpoint, rollerball to more expensive gold nib pens. We love watching customers discover a different feeling in writing and that moment of happiness is why we opened our shop.
We are very lucky to be able to provide this experience to everyone because of your support since the beginning of our journey.
Pens in this tray are even more precious. What make them special is the handmade craftsmanship. To finish a traditional lacquered pen, decorated with detailed arts, it takes many steps to layer paint over many months of dry time. It took us a few years to be able to collect this one tray.
Last month we sold one Pilot Shooting Star, two Sailor KOP Ebonite Naginata and Platinum Izumo Galaxy. It was very surprising! We thought it was interesting that they were all shipped to Canada, and even joked about a new friend group finding our shop. Last week, we were notified 2 of the 4 filed chargebacks. After some confusion, we realized that they were all likely scams and all we can do is wait for those chargebacks to happen. After many calls with Shopify, there’s not much more we can do.
We are telling this story because we are in the process of collecting evidence to dispute these chargebacks and would like to ask you to do us the favor of keeping your eyes open for any of these showing up on the second hand market in Canada, specifically Quebec. These packages were delivered successfully.
This kind of experience take away the fun from running a shop and we are disappointed that anyone would do this. Nevertheless, we won’t let this keep us from our goal of offering the best range of stationery to please all stationery lovers. This tray of pens is available to see in-person and we will be more than happy to show anyone.
Thank you for your continued support!

I’m so sad to hear about this!
I know that some high end pens have serial numbers or edition numbers.
Do these particular pens have such a feature?
We had one loss and two narrow escapes with credit card fraud in the Montreal area. I think there’s a group specializing in pens.

I’m a member of a group on Facebook where dealers share info on frauds and chargeback. If you are interested, let me know and I’ll send an invite.
Pen lover from Montreal, Quebec. Just to let you know that I’m sorry about this mistreatment, and that I will indeed keep a lookout in local forums and forward any relevant info to you. Best of luck <3
