SEED is an eraser company that originally started as a natural rubber company back in 1915. They discovered in 1956 that PVC works much better for eraser. Around that time, a typical eraser with natural material hardens over time, and becomes harder to erase. On the other hand, eraser made with PVC stays soft and unchanged for a long time. Two years after their discovery, SEED released Radar in 1958 as the first plastic eraser in the world. It picks up graphite easily, and the eraser seems to always stay really clean after each use. It’s pretty nice.

Super Gold eraser is their statement piece. It uses all natural material, which is harder than a typical eraser, but it produces less dust. It’s aesthetically pleasing, and works like a regular eraser. The small graphic in the middle of the box represents the origin of the company name. The name SEED is based on the story, “The Crow and the Pitcher”, where the crow uses seed and stones to fetch water from the pitcher.

The photo below is a funny product that we saw a few weeks ago in a supermarket in Flushing. The skin product is a collaboration of SEED with Decora Girl — a whitening lotion that looks exactly like a Radar eraser 😂
