To celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of Pilot's most iconic fountain pens, the Custom 74, Pilot has created this special anniversary edition box set of the Custom 74. Originally released in 1992, Custom 74 has become Pilot’s core introductory pen in the Custom series. The Custom series starts with gold nib with a great variations in nib sizes to satisfy everyone’s writing experience, which is why it’s called Custom. Pilot’s Custom 74 is among three popular starter gold nib pens in Japan along with Sailor 1911 Standard and Platinum 3776. And among all three, Custom 74 comes with the most nib variations with total of 11 nibs. Custom 74 is designed with a very elegant classic look with a flexible smooth gold nib.

This limited edition 30th Anniversary box set of the Custom 74 comes with three different color versions of the barrel to pair with the transparent black cap and nib section. Each color represents a different piece of the Pilot Custom 74 timeline--amber for the past, cobalt blue for the present and turquoise green for the future. Another unique 30th anniversary detail included on this pen is the 14k rhodium-plated gold nib that comes engraved with a laurel embellished with 30 leaves, one for each year of the Pilot Custom 74 history and "30th Anniversary" engraving around the cap band of the pen.
