J. Herbin Straight Glass Pens feature glass tips that are twisted in a light spiral to hold the maximum amount of ink. By dipping the tip into ink, glass pen can be used just like a regular pen. After rinsing under water, glass pens can be cleaned easily, which makes it ideal to test multiple ink colors quickly. Since the glass tip is hand blown, each tip writes slightly different than the other. The glass pen first writes with a little feedback, but after using for a longer period of time, the pen will gradually write smoother.

About J. Herbin:
La Societe Herbin, Maitre Cirier a Paris, was established in 1670. The original J. Herbin was a sailor, and from his many journeys to India he brought back to Paris formulas for manufacturing sealing wax and inks. Herbin is the oldest name in pen inks in the world. "La Perle des Encres" (The Jewel of Inks") was created in 1700. "L'Encre des Vaisseaux" ("Ship's Ink") was produced at an unknown date before then.
