J. Herbin Round Glass Pens feature glass tips that are twisted in a light spiral to hold the maximum amount of ink. By dipping the tip into ink, glass pen can be used just like a regular pen. After rinsing under water, glass pens can be cleaned easily, which makes it ideal to test multiple ink colors quickly. Since the glass tip is hand blown, each tip writes slightly different than the other. The glass pen first writes with a little feedback, but after using for a longer period of time, the pen will gradually write smoother.

About J. Herbin:
La Societe Herbin, Maitre Cirier a Paris, was established in 1670. The original J. Herbin was a sailor, and from his many journeys to India he brought back to Paris formulas for manufacturing sealing wax and inks. Herbin is the oldest name in pen inks in the world. "La Perle des Encres" (The Jewel of Inks") was created in 1700. "L'Encre des Vaisseaux" ("Ship's Ink") was produced at an unknown date before then.
Coming from a fountain pen background, this pen is so nice! It's refreshing to be able to dip it in water, wipe it down, and you're good to go for the next ink color. The little square of sandpaper it came with is a nice touch in case you want/need to do anything with the writing tip (nib?).
It’s what you would except from a glass pen! But, like Soraya said in one of Yoseka’s YouTube videos “ you just feel so fancy using it!” Thank you always Yoseka!
