Inban is a copper plate transer technique of printing patterns onto porcelain dishes (think stencils!) that developed rapidly since the Meiji period in Japan.

Although the method is called "Printing," each Inban dish is hand stamped, which leaves some imperfections and makes each dish one of a kind.
