The Superior Labor - Bridle Leather - Zip Pen Case
This Bridle Leather Zip Pen Case by The Superior Labor is beautifully handmade with the exterior and interior being made of leather with exquisite finish. Designed to carry a few of your favorite pens, it contains two deep leather pockets for slip your pens in. It is also the perfect size for a small pocket notebook. The case elegantly lies flat when unzipped.
Bridle leather is the way that a piece of leather (cow hide) is finished at the tannery. It has both sides, the flesh and grain, stuffed with greases and finished with wax. This is an intensive labor process which creates a surface that is smooth to the touch. Leather bloom, the natural white powder on the surface, enhances the organic patterns formed during the crafting process. Because each case is individually crafted from organic leather, no two cases are the same. There will be individual differences in the color, thickness, and texture of the leather.

About The Superior Labor:
Founded by former auto mechanic and leather artisan Makoto Kawai, this lifestyle brand crafts a variety of high-quality everyday tools that promote slow and intentional living. Kawai considers The Superior Labor as a natural extension of his experience working with cars, crafting leather goods, traveling, and curating vintage wares. All of The Superior Labor’s design and manufacturing takes place in a former elementary school campus in the rural and mountainous area of Kaga-gun, Okayama Prefecture, where Kawai lives and works. Called “nap village,” it welcomes visitors to come and experience The Superior Labor’s living and crafting philosophy while exploring the wonderful nature of Mount Hongu.
