The manufacturer of this accordion style letter set is Haibara, which was established in 1806 and has been based in Nihonbashi, Tokyo for more than 200 years; they were one of the first paper companies to export Japanese paper and import Western paper during the Meiji period.
CDT Jabara Accordion Writing Paper Letter Set has a very unique and smart design that allows you to customize your paper length to however long your letter needs to be. The paper packaging is folded up into a folder-like container. When you want to write your letter, open the flap and unfold the folder: on one side you will find the envelopes and on the other side you will find the letter paper, which is folded up accordion style. The letter paper is in one continuous sheet with perforations where the folds occur so you can rip your letter off at the nearest perforation allow you to avoid wasting paper and large blocks of white space at the end of your letter or note. We love how everything is folded into a neat and portable package that you can easily bring around with you.

About Craft Design Technology:
I got this because I thought it would be hilarious if my friends unfolded my letters and it just kept going, and going, and going, and going… and I was right. It IS hilarious!
The paper: Fountain pen friendly! Thank goodness. It’s a thin and light paper, but it holds ink well with no feathering or bleeding that I’ve seen so far.
I knocked off a star because the setup for writing with it is actually pretty awkward.
When you unfold the case holding everything together, you will have cardboard flaps on either side of the paper pad. One is a wide flap that would be perfect to unfold the paper on and have a smooth writing experience, and the other is a short flap that creates an uneven writing surface beneath the paper.
If you want to write on the lined side of the accordion paper, it opens to lay atop the awkward short flap. If you want to write on the unlined side, it opens to the awesome wide flap. Since I want to use the lined side, I am not a fan of this setup.
The base of the accordion paper is glued to the cardboard case. To fix the awkward setup, I ripped the whole accordion pad from the case and spun it 180 degrees, so the paper will unfold in the direction I want it.
