Pacific Ocean (blue):

Falling from the sky, the rain soaks through the soil and moistens the ground. It goes through layers and layers of earth and flows out from the fractures. The thin streams sometimes gather, divide the valleys, and converge into the river. The river irrigates the fields, feeds all living beings, and once again enters the ocean.

The east coast of Taiwan is directly adjacent to the largest ocean in the world. The west coast features its diverse seashores. The east coast, on the other hand, offers endless views of the magnificent Pacific Ocean. The shadows deepen over the sea with the descending ocean plate. The Kuroshio Current comes with crystal-clear seawater. Together, these natural wonders present a tranquil scene with depth. You can purify your soul and be amazed by nature just by watching the sea.

Watermelon (red):

Watermelon is one of the signature fruits of summer. The scorching air from the heat waves shatters your vision from afar in a summer afternoon. Your sweat evaporates even before it has a chance to soak the skin. You are still waiting for the long-expected afternoon thunderstorms. The cicadas are singing on the tree, laughing at your bedraggled look. You rush straight to the fridge like a hungry beast, looking for anything that could satisfy your strong desire. As you fill your mouth with the red juice and flesh, you have finally come to your senses. What a nice summer.

Fireflies (green):

As the heat slowly wears off at night, animals finally come out. The crickets sing along with the frogs as if they are inviting everyone to have an outdoor concert. The chirping from afar is getting closer and closer--the night eagles have finally got off from their bed and arrived. All of a sudden, countless green sparkles appear from the corners and the world quiets down. The flickering fireflies gracefully attract everyone's attention. This summer, you are as glamourous as usual.

Lennon Tool Bar standard inks come in two lines: Indigo Color and Formosa Color. The Indigo Color is inspired by "aizome," or Indigo Dyed textiles, and the colors represent the different shades of blue throughout the process. The Formosa Color is inspired by places in Taiwan. This 2020 Spring Limited series is a limited set of three colors.

About Lennon Tool Bar:
Lennon Tool Bar was founded in 2014 at Tamsui, Taiwan. Initially, it started to promote arts and crafts of Indigo Dyeing, a business that flourished a century ago in Taiwan, and at the time, Taiwan exported a considerable amount of "doroai," or the raw material of colorants used in Indigo Dyeing, to the Japanese Empire. Lennon Tool Bar draws inspiration from the traditional process and the popular colors used in Indigo Dyeing.
