Continuing the design series of the Techo cover lineup, this year features new patterns and materials in a range of cover styles.
This is a new type of A6-size cover that simplifies the features of the Hobonichi Techo cover as much as possible by omitting the usual butterfly pen holders and bookmarks. Made from light, faux leather with the words "Have a Nice Day!" foil-pressed in gold, this cover comes with an elastic band to keep your Techo shut, as well as a simple pen loop on the edge of the back cover. This is a great option for minimalist Hobonichi Techo lovers who want a very slim, contained planner.
This original form of the Hobonichi Techo has been loved by many users since its introduction in 2002. Its daily pages offer plenty of space to fill despite the book’s compact A6 size. The graph paper offers an open layout for you to neatly lay out writings, clippings, and drawings.
The graph paper in the English version is slightly enlarged to 4 mm to allow users to write comfortably in any language. Timelines are simplified to a single 12 to denote noon so users can completely customize it to their own schedule (or ignore it completely), and each day is also labeled with the number of the consecutive week that year, from 1 to 52.
The Hobonichi Techo includes quotes specially chosen from its parent site, the Japanese web magazine Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shinbun. Each daily page has a quote in English.
The book contains several sections that are great for schedule management, such as a yearly calendar, monthly calendar, and yearly index page. The back of the book includes useful and informational pages, such as blank memo pages, an address book, a page for drawing out a custom graph, a list of useful links in Japanese, and more.
