Continuing the collaborative line of the Techo cover lineup, this year introduces new artists and designs to make your planning special. As always, the covers feature a basic style with butterfly-stopper pen holders that act as a hinge, keeping your cover safely shut when you store a pen inside.
New this season, Polar Bear Tender Heart features cute, hand-drawn illustrations by Izumi Shiokawa. On the front, a mother polar bear cuddles with her two cubs and another is on its way to join on the back - both simply illustrated with black brushwork. The cover also features two contrasting red satin ribbon bookmarks.
The illustration was first featured in a polar bear exhibit hosted in 2021 at Hobo Nichoyobi, Hobonichi’s event space. The soft lines of Shiokawa’s drawings make for a design that feels incredibly gentle. The cotton-based fabric of the cover was chosen for its resemblance to the coloring of polar bears. Silkscreen printing was used to transfer the artwork in a blue-tinted dark gray ink, creating a print that feels glossy and textured.
Add a clear Hobonichi Cover on Cover to protect this cover from wear and tear and add extra space for storing photos, stickers, and postcards.
