Soraya Navia is a fiber artist and graphic designer based in Queens, NY. She received her BFA in Graphic Design from New York Institute of Technology. Learning the patient craft of embroidery and needlework was, at first, a means of relaxing. She now uses this art form to create and sell original embroidery pieces and to teach others about the wonderful world of fabric and thread. Soraya often embroiders for hours each day and uses her technical design skills and love of texture to produce handmade works of art.
