J. Herbin Supple Sealing Wax Sticks are a beautiful accent to your correspondence collection! For centuries, sealing wax has been used to seal letters and envelopes, bottles, and for decoration. Each sealing wax package contains four 4 3/8" x 3/8" x 3/8" wax sticks, each of which can make seven average sized seals.

To use, heat the stick with a lighter and allow the wax to drip onto the place you want the seal. You can cut off the amount of wax you want to use and melt it in a spoon. Once you have a small puddle of wax, press the seal into the wax puddle, hold it there for 5-10 seconds, then remove it.

  • Each package comes with 4 sealing wax sticks
  • Dimensions of each stick: 4 3/8" x 3/8" x 3/8" (each stick makes about 7 seals)

About J. Herbin:

La Societe Herbin, Maitre Cirier a Paris, was established in 1670.  The original J. Herbin was a sailor, and from his many journeys to India he brought back to Paris formulas for manufacturing sealing wax and inks. Herbin is the oldest name in pen inks in the world. "La Perle des Encres" (The Jewel of Inks") was created in 1700. "L'Encre des Vaisseaux" ("Ship's Ink") was produced at an unknown date before then.
